Why was there a charge on my credit card?
If you make an offer, or bid in an auction, we place an authorization on your credit card to ensure the card is valid and that sufficient funds are available.
An authorization is not a charge, but some banks may show authorizations and charges in the same way. If your offer is canceled or declined, or if you lose the auction you are bidding in, we immediately withdraw the authorization. Most banks will remove the authorization immediately, while others may take two or three days.
